(Also, from a strict language pov, is the word "outlet" correct, or should I use "toolbar" or "options bar", or even another phrasing? could'nt find any satisfying answers in online dictionaries)

You're good. I didn't take it as harsh, plus it was something that needed to be added. :)

I personally use the term "Toolbar" or "Drop Down Menu" myself. I'm not certain how others term it, but I understood what you meant.
