The Batman: Arkham City comic is a five-issue miniseries that bridges the gap between Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. The series was written by Paul Dini with art by Carlos Andaman. Initially released on May 11, 2011, the series picks up roughly one year after the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and finds Quincy Sharp, the former Arkham warden, being elected mayor of Gotham City.
Following the completion of the miniseries, DC released an additional digital-exclusive seven-issue miniseries that focuses on key characters from Arkham City. With each issue being eight pages in length, the series was written by Paul Dini with art from Dustin Nguyen.
