Kamo, also known as Chondrakha, the Shark god, is a deity who rules over the Shark Kingdom in Hawaii, and the father of King Shark.

Incident Reports[]

Before Kill the Justice League Incident[]

Chondrakha was the ruler of the Shark Kingdom in Hawaii. He held draconian kangaroo courts in addition to ruling the kingdom. Chondrakha and King Shark seemingly had a tense relationship. It seems that King Shark’s inquisitiveness of the world outside his home put him at odds with his father, who was seemingly trying to groom Nanaue into living his life as Chondrakha’s successor, seeing him as the hope of the shark people. When King Shark was exiled and left, Chondrakha believed that King Shark had abandoned his people and his legacy.

Kill the Justice League Incident[]

While the Suicide Squad dealt with the Batman clone’s fear gas, King Shark hallucinated Chondrakha condemning him for his life choices, and supposedly allowing himself to be a “prawn in man’s cocktail”, to which King Shark declared that he was “his own fish” and that he had friends. Later, during a conversation with Deadshot, King Shark recounted his childhood and his relationship with Kamo. Deadshot offered to assassinate Chondrakha to give King Shark closure, but King Shark politely pointed out that this would not be possible due to Kamo being a god, though he was touched by the gesture.

Personality[]

Chondrakha’s speech patterns are formal, poetic and bookish. He is clearly prejudiced against humans, seeing them as duplicitous, selfish and unintelligent. He is angry at Nanaue for abandoning his people in favor of living among humans. As a father, he was clearly strict and demanding, seeing Nanaue as an extension of himself. King Shark describes Kamo as an “unyielding tyrant”, comparing Floyd Lawton’s parenting methods with Kamo’s best traits. He also describes Chondrakha as being something of a controlling father. The fact that he had exiled King Shark in spite of being his son seems to indicate that he is unforgiving as a father. He is also implied to be a draconian ruler, as evident by the way he held trials, as described by King Shark.

Powers and Abilities[]

Little is known of Chondrakha’s full capabilities, but it is implied that he is immensely powerful, due to being a god, as described by King Shark.
