Arkham Knight's combat experts.

The Combat Experts are soldiers who have been trained to keep a personal eye on the Arkham Knight and Deathstroke. These sword-wielding warriors are as fast and strong as the Dark Knight.

It is revealed in GCPD Lockdown and the Most Wanted mission Shadow War that there are Penguin and League of Assassins variants as well.

Combat Abilities[]

  • Evade - dash out of Batman's reach and follow up with a counter-attack.
  • Heavy strike - An attack that cannot be countered.
  • Leap strike - Leap onto a wall or militia soldier to unleash a fast attack on Batman that deals high damage.

The only weakness of these soldiers is their inability to equip weapons or use the environment to their advantage in combat. Repeatedly strike them with pipes or crates to prevent them from using their evasion abilities and guarantee an easy victory.

Along with Arkham Knight ninjas, they remain stunned even when a breakdown on them is interrupted, which enables them to be more easily taken down with Beatdown Finishers, unlike Arkham City/Arkham Origins ninjas who recover immediately.

The Combat Experts for the League of Assassins and the Rebel Assassins also have an exclusive move that let them perform a flurry of attacks that Batman must counter and, when finished, perform a beatdown on them.

Known Combat Experts[]


  • They do not appear on challenge maps if one is playing as Harley Quinn or Red Hood.
  • In one of the Ace Chemicals trailers for Arkham Knight, a Militia Combat Expert is shown executing the flurry attack, but in the actual game, they are unable to do so as the move can only be performed by the League and Rebel Assassins in Shadow War.
  • The Combat Experts do not speak.
