Edwina Hooks is a programmer, computer scientist, and electrician for A.R.G.U.S. who serves as their 24/7 technical support. As of the Metropolis Invasion, she works in the inner sanctum of the A.R.G.U.S. occupied Hall of Justice.
Personality[]
Edwina Hooks is a friendly and informal sort of person, albeit quiet, especially towards Lex Luthor. She feels that her position in A.R.G.U.S. too often brings her work as a soldier into question, as though she cannot possibly be both. She confided this to Lex Luthor in a conversation with him, to which he replied that her skills would be more useful in restoring and maintaining the safety of Earth than any of the soldiers who call her work into question. Luthor describes her as having a powerful mind with potential.

I am distantly fond of Edwina; in that she says very little to me and does fine work. In one of our rare conversations, she confided that her position as a programmer and computer scientist too often brings her work as a soldier into question, as though she could not possibly be both.
I gave her my thoughts, which I summarize here: Edwina and her skills will be more useful in restoring and maintaining the safety of our planet than any of the grunts who would call her into question. However bloody, this war will not be won by brute force, or with conventional weapons. It will be a war of higher minds, technological arms races and a tactical cleverness that most of A.R.G.U.S. is too brutish to imagine. Behind her folksy exterior, Edwina hides a powerful mind. I look forward to seeing what she does with it.
I imagine it helps that she always has snacks.
