Franklin Accardo was a former member of an infamous racketeering group imprisoned for twenty years at Blackgate known as the "Blüdhaven Six" and one of six victims to Professor Pyg's unethical experiments to eliminate physical imperfections.

History[]

Franklin Accardo had frequently been in jail since he was young, namely for drug charges. He was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis, a rare and debilitating condition, resulting in a left knee bone deformity. He joined the infamous racketeering group known as the Blüdhaven Six, having the burn mark on his upper left arm to prove it. Eventually, he was caught, and sentenced to twenty years at Blackgate alongside the rest of his group. He obtained early release, one month before the Independence Day Riots, due to a debilitating heart condition that necessitated a pace-maker. He later moved to Little Rock, Arkansas.

Some time later, the Circus of the Strange travelled to Little Rock. Franklin Accardo was abducted and taken back to Gotham City to be experimented on by the group's leader, Professor Pyg. However, Franklin's physical defects were such that even Pyg couldn't fix them. Pyg killed him with an overdose of pain-killers, then doused his fingers in acid to remove fingerprints. Further complicating matters, Franklin's DNA had been corrupted by the Dollatron experiments. Accardo was hung at the top of a building on Bleake Island, the word "Failure" written on the side of the building.

Batman later found his corpse while conducting an investigation on the bodies. Unable to rely on DNA analysis or fingerprints to ID the victim, he used several clues in various parts of the body to determine a match to any persons who were declared missing.
