Gotham Pioneer's Bridge
Gotham Pioneer's Bridge was a large suspension bridge between Old Gotham (Arkham City) and New Gotham. The bridge first appeared in Arkham Origins.
The bridge was designed by Cyrus Pinkney and carries vehicular (with toll fare), subway, and pedestrian traffic, below 4 massive statues of the symbolic pioneers of Gotham "holding" the suspension cables.
Incident Reports[]
Arkham Origins Incident[]
Batman goes to the bridge to deal with Firefly. He has to rescue hostages and disarm the bombs before fighting the pyromaniac. Batman fights Firefly's goons before making his way to the north end of the bridge. After Gordon and the GCPD Bomb Squad disarmed the last bomb, Despite severe damage to the bridge to the point of practical collapse, Batman takes down Firefly on the mid-tower of the Central Pillar and leaves him hanging for Gordon, Bullock, and the cops to apprehend.
A plaque is also scannable on the bridge for Pinkney's side quest.
Arkham Knight Incident[]
The damage to the bridge has been repaired, albeit presumably still closed off due to Arkham City.
Trivia[]
- Inexplicably, in Arkham Knight the connection point to Arkham City is now by the museum instead of the industrial district, a possible reason could be for greater visibility of South Gotham from Miagani Island for the player.
