Hisako Matsuda is an operative for A.R.G.U.S. assigned to assist the Suicide Squad during Brainiac's invasion.
Biography[]
Hisako enlisted for A.R.G.U.S. alongside her twin sister, Taki Matsuda. During training she would excel in hand to hand combat, and marksmanship.
Kill the Justice League Incident[]
Sometime after graduating, during the Metropolis Invasion, she would be tasked with guarding the armory at the A.R.G.U.S. occupied Hall of Justice.
Personality[]
While she may not be a social person, Hisako is not above some sardonic wit. She is close to her sister, expected of twins, but has shaved her head as part of establishing herself as someone different. The Squad tend to be a notable change of pace for her, as she admits that having villains around makes things more lively.
While it's not explicitly stated what her civilian time is like, Hisako implies she drinks heavily and sleeps around a lot. Shortly after her rescue by Rick Flag and the Squad, she makes jokes with Morgan that her average Friday has her with a messed up head; she admits that her favorite things are sex and hitting things. Lex Luthor describes her as being abrasive, crass, cold, serious, professional, and “lightly unpleasant” to be around, and infers that she is a true soldier. She seemingly takes pleasure in her work, implying that she is sadistic to some extent. She is also shown to be blunt and flippant, as evidenced by her quote in the codex.

From the Files of Lex Luthor[]
Hisako Matsuda, the more abrasive of the Matsuda twins, is the second-closest thing to a real soldier that I've met among the A.R.G.U.S. units - her sister being the first. While perhaps a bit crass, Hisako is a skilled sniper, excels in hand-to-hand combat and seemingly takes pleasure in her work without the worrisome enthusiasm of, say, a Marcus Lo.
Though often compared to her sister (as above), any who confuse the two will find that they are as different in personality as they are similar in appearance. Taki has a certain brightness to her. Hisako, meanwhile, is cold, serious and lightly unpleasant to be around, thus providing a reassuring professionalism relative to her peers. I respect that.
Really, Hisako might be my favorite, were she not increasingly friendly with the members of Task Force X. They saved her, once, and she seems to have developed an unwise affection for them.
Still, if I had to choose bodyguards from among this crowd, the Matsuda Twins would be an easy pick.
Trivia[]
- Hisako admits to once dreaming of being a lich (an undead being that can command the dead) when she was a child.
