Matthew Kadai was the assumed name of an otherwise unidentified murder victim who was attacked by Andrew Carter.
Batman: Arkham Origins
The man only assumed to be Matthew Kadai was attacked at Amusement Mile by a then-recently released hardened criminal named Andrew Carter, who by that point, had stopped going to court-mandated therapy sessions, was planning to join Bane's mercenary group, and was very dangerous. He was killed when Carter, having been enhanced by the drug, Venom, threw an air conditioning vent at him, broke every single bone in his body, and thus made it appear as if he had suffered repeated physical blows. He was in his thirties when he died. Batman, having learned of the murder from a police dispatch, investigated the murder and deduced Carter's involvement. Alfred and Batman then tracked down Carter alongside a unit of Bane's mercenaries to Park Row, by the Solomon Wayne Courthouse, interrogated him on his role in the murder, knocked him out, and also left him to be picked up by the GCPD. According to Carter, the man was targeted because he stumbled upon sensitive information relating to Bane's Militia's activities.
- According to the police dispatch that revealed the nature of the crime, Matthew Kadai was in his mid-thirties at the time of death.
