Catman was a professional criminal operating in Gotham City. He is referenced in Batman: Arkham Origins.
History
Arkham Origins Incident
Thomas Blake was an exotic cat catcher who was active around the time that Joker had masqueraded as Black Mask and put out a bounty on Batman. He had brought some big cats to the Gotham Zoo to be presented, with posters celebrating his achievement placed around Gotham.
Pre-Arkham Asylum Incident
Years later, around the time that Joker had staged a massive breakout at Arkham Asylum, Blake had established himself as Catman. Catman had been hired by the Joker to fight the former Robin Jason Todd, posing as Batman. When Jason was finally released after years of captivity and torture by Joker, he and a disguised Catman were pitted against each other by Joker. Despite his weakened state, Jason ultimately overpowered Catman, and after being handed a gun by Joker, shot Catman, killing him. Catman would become Jason Todd’s first kill.
