Winslow P. Schott is the Toyman, a sociopathic mechanical genius and enemy of Superman who designs numerous deadly toy-themed weaponry and gadgets to commit crimes.
Biography[]
Growing up in the United Kingdom, Winslow Percival Schott discovered that he had a knack for toy-making and took an interest in testing his own creative talents. Despite being mocked for his love of toys, Schott was not discouraged from making a future career for himself as a toymaker and became world-renowned for his brilliant designs while running his own modest, small business. However, LexCorp's acquisition of Schott's toy company left him jobless, and he was embittered by the company's use of his creations for military purposes. He became the supervillain Toyman, seeking vengeance on Lex Luthor. After several attempts to assassinate Luthor and battles with Superman, he was arrested.
Incident Reports[]
Arkham Origins Blackgate incident[]
At the time of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Schott was imprisoned within the walls of Blackgate Prison. Later, an explosive bracelet was smuggled into the prison by an unidentified third party and affixed to Toyman’s wrist for unknown reasons. Despite this, Toyman tried to remove the bracelet using specialized tools including a pair of needle-nose pliers. However, he accidentally set off the bracelet, causing a massive explosion, damaging the prison. Although he was deemed deceased by Blackgate personnel, Winslow survived and was discovered by TYGER Security who moved him to the Arkham Wing. He was later released and opened his own toy shop in the Wonderland District of Metropolis. He was well known by A.R.G.U.S., and his toy-themed exploits inspired Hiro Okamura to become the second Toyman.
